Cambodian Public Holidays 2017

Bank Holidays Cambodia 2017
Banks, government buildings and some businesses will be closed on public holidays, similar to national or bank holidays in other countries. The traditional Khmer calendar, Chhankitek, is lunisolar. Whilst the calendar is based on the movement of the moon, calendar dates are also synchronised with the solar year to keep the seasons from drifting. Therefore, the festivals and holidays of Cambodia are subject to change every year based on the lunar calendar, the only exception being the Khmer New Year that is based solely on the Solar Calendar.
